Mi Casa Restaurant

Traditional Spanish Tapas Restaurant & Wine Lounge

About 우리 집

Mi Casa is a family run business, with Ms Tina Wendel– of Korean and German descent - taking the helm as General Manager. Tina grew up in Spain and decided to join the family business in 2012 after falling in love with Korean culture. “I like how people work here. I love the language.  Seoul is modern and old blended together,” she says.

Tina’s mother, who is Korean, missed the flavours of Spain, so in 2011 she and the family decided to create a special place to share Spanish food culture, opening Mi Casa.

Quality service and a warm friendly atmosphere is what Mi Casa is all about. Tina explains “We are a family and we want people to feel like they’re in Spain. Our house is your house; as we say in Spanish - Mi casa es tu casa.”

Food is an essential part of life in Spain. At Mi Casa, “We aim to be the best” says Tina. “We want people to taste authentic Spanish cuisine without leaving Korea”.

Spanish Cuisine

The heart of any good restaurant is the kitchen. But without love and dedication to authenticity quality Spanish cuisine is not possible says Mi Casa’s Head Chef Mr Manuel Manzano Rodriguez. “The philosophy is love and dedication. Without passion the food doesn’t taste right,” he says. Manuel sources a lot of ingredients from Spain and works closely with local suppliers to source the freshest products to ensure the best quality goes into every dish. Healthy cuisine is also important. Chef Manuel does not use any additives or MSG. Spanish cuisine is also about diversity and regionality. “Every region in Spain has its own unique dishes. At Mi Casa we aim to represent Spanish food with authentic dishes from each region,” says Chef Manuel. Spanish cuisine is much more than just tapas. At Mi Casa you can enjoy Spanish fish, paella, lamb, homemade sausages and traditional desserts. For the night crowd, there’s also a late night menu of hot and cold dishes to pair with wine.

Wine and Dine

Spanish wine is diverse and reflects the natural landscapes and regions of Spain. Over fifty boutique wines with freshness, balance, character and expression of terroir are listed. There is also a unique selection of sherry, port and wines from other countries.

Ten wines are also served by the glass, with the selection changing monthly. These wines remain fresh and expressive, preserved in high-tech Enomatic machines, ensuring every glass shows the unique flavors of Spain.
